Most workforce software assumes everyone works from the same building. Real organizations don't: a distribution company has drivers on routes, a facility has staff across multiple sites, and a hybrid team is rarely all in one place on any given day. Shiftly treats that as the normal case, not the exception.
So instead of one geofence everyone is forced to fit, Shiftly asks what actually proves this person was working today, and answers that question differently for an office employee, a driver, and someone working from home, on the same record, scoped automatically by who's allowed to see it.
What that means in practice.
Verified, not assumed
A GPS ping alone just proves a phone was somewhere, not who was holding it. Shiftly checks attendance against whichever signals actually fit how someone works: geofence, network, a registered device, a supervisor, a route.
Corrected, never overwritten
Attendance is an append-only record. Fixing a mistake adds a new, approved entry next to the old one, so payroll and audits are never working from a record someone quietly edited.
Scoped by role, automatically
Employees see their own record, managers see their department, admin users see the company read-only, and super admins see and manage everything. It's enforced on the backend, the same for every client.
Nothing changes without a trail.
A correction, a role change, an AI action taken on someone's behalf: everything is recorded with who did it, when, and what it looked like before. It's the same standard whether a person made the change or Shiftly did.
